Healing Begins With Understanding
I believe behavior is communication.
Most people are not trying to be difficult.
Most people are responding from:
- trauma
- emotional wounds
- survival patterns
- nervous system overwhelm
- or learned ways of protecting themselves
For years I worked in education helping with behavior, emotional struggles, conflict, and learning challenges. Over time, I realized there was usually something deeper underneath the surface: trauma.
Trauma impacts the way people:
- learn
- communicate
- trust
- connect
- react
- love
- and regulate emotions
My approach is trauma-informed, restorative, and rooted in understanding instead of shame.
Instead of asking:
“What is wrong with this person?”
I ask:
“What happened to them?”
I believe healing begins when people feel:
- seen
- safe
- heard
- understood
- and connected
Through podcast conversations, restorative practices, workshops, emotional awareness, and community dialogue, my goal is to help people better understand trauma, behavior, relationships, emotional regulation, and healing.
Because healing is not about perfection.
It is about awareness, understanding, and growth.
